Cisco Meraki WiFi 5 and WiFi 6/6E APs
Cisco's Meraki line of WiFi 5 and WiFi 6/6E indoor APs includes low-cost units for general use and also high-end Wireless APs that support data rates of up to 7.8 Gbps. All Meraki indoor APs offer convenient features such as self-configuration for fast deployment, built-in data protection and analytics, automatic updates, and centralized cloud-based management for wireless environments of any scale, from a single site to distributed networks. Meraki indoor APs also feature radios with enhanced receive performance plus a unique wireless intrusion detection and prevention system with a specialized radio for spectrum analysis and on-the-fly packet inspection.
Other features of the Cisco Meraki family of indoor access points are a GbE interface, 802.3af PoE compatibility, realtime encryption, wireless IPs, self-configured mesh routing, single-click protected guest access with a guest firewall, do-it-yourself splash pages, an integrated policy firewall for granular group or appliance-based access control, built-in antivirus, WPA2-Enterprise authentication with native Active Directory integration, Layer 7 traffic shaping for prioritizing or throttling various types of applications, plus multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) and integrated beam forming to operate in high density environments without sacrificing coverage.
The Meraki MR20 is an entry-level Wave 2 wireless access point intended for small office or home office (SOHO) use. The cloud-managed access point features 2x2:2 MU-MIMO technology with two spatial streams and delivers as much as 1.3 Gbps aggregate throughput with 866 Mbps data rates in the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The Meraki MR20 access point features Meraki's Air Marshal wireless intrusion prevention system for threat identification and remediation. The AP has one 10/100/1000 BASE-T RJ45 port but does not have a Bluetooth radio. The MR20 AP is desktop, ceiling, or wall mount capable.
Cisco's Meraki MR42 AP is a Wave 2 AP for performance-critical and/or high-density Wi-Fi LANs. The MR42 features 3x3:3 MU-MIMO technology with beamforming, provides a maximum data rate of 1.9 Gbit/sec, includes a Gigabit Ethernet interface, and has a built-in Bluetooth BLE radio that provides scanning and Beaconing. The Meraki MR52 is a high-speed 802.11ac Wave 2 AP intended for high-density campus and enterprise environments. The 4-radio MR52 offers 4x4 MU-MIMO with four spatial streams and beamforming, handles wireless data rates of up to 2.5 Gbps, supports 160 MHz channels, comes with two 1 GigE ports, and includes a Bluetooth BLE radio. The Meraki MR53 wireless access point offers the same specs as the MR52 but has a single GbE port plus a 2.5 Gbps Multigigabit Ethernet interface.

Cisco's Meraki MR30H AP is a wall switch device intended for hospitality or dorm room environments and uses 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wave 2 support. The AP has a built-in 4-port 1 GigE switch, and a BLE radio for beaconing and scanning. The MR30H delivers aggregate throughput of up to 1.3 Gbps with simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. The Cisco Meraki MR33 is a general-purpose AP suitable for offices, schools, health care facilities, shops and other active venues. The MR33 offers the same feature set as the Meraki MR30H AP but is encased in a low-profile housing and does not include a built-in 4-port 1 GigE switch.
The Cisco Meraki MR57 WiFi 6E AP adds support for the 6 GHz band, more than doubling the wireless spectrum supported by previous generation WiFi access points. You can deploy the MR57 either in dual 5 GHz mode or in 2.5/5/6 GHz mode. The highest throughput for the Cisco Meraki MR57 device is 7.8 Gbps. The MR57 features dual configurable 1/2.5/5 Gbps Ethernet connections and is IoT ready with BLE and USB support.
Legacy Cisco Meraki Indoor Wi-Fi APs
The Cisco Meraki MR18 AP, which is at end-of-life status, is a wall or desktop mountable 802.11n unit that can deliver aggregate performance as fast as 600 Mbps with its concurrent 2x2:2 MIMO radios. This no-frills Wi-Fi access point is designed for use in moderate density environments. Cisco's Meraki MR32 is a wall, ceiling or desktop mountable Wi-Fi AP featuring a 5 GHz 2x2:2 802.11ac radio and a 2.4 GHz 2x2:2 802.11n radio, delivering a top dual-radio frame rate of 1.2 Gbit/s. This device comes with a BLE radio for Beaconing and scanning and is designed for high-density venues such as campuses, retail stores, and enterprise offices.
The Meraki MR34 AP, which has been discontinued, is a 802.11ac Wave 1 device that uses 3x3 MIMO technology with 1.75 Gbps throughput. Designed to handle high density environments, the MR34 offers 802.af Power over Ethernet and 802.3at PoE+. The MR34 does not include Bluetooth.
Meraki Cloud-managed Outdoor/Industrial Wi-Fi APs
Meraki outdoor access points are IP67 certified, built to operate in harsh outdoor conditions, and tested to resist dust particles, vibration and moisture. Cisco's Meraki outdoor APs include a Gigabit Ethernet port and deliver advanced features that include cloud management with network-wide control, 802.1X integration, built-in antivirus scan, 1-click guest access and guest isolation firewall, Layer 7 traffic shaping, plus self-configuring mesh with beamforming.
The Meraki MR62 is an entry-level, single-radio 802.11n outdoor wireless, AP that delivers 300 Mbit/sec performance and features a single-radio mesh and VPN tunneling for at-home workers. Cisco's mid-range Meraki MR66 Wi-Fi, access point features dual radios, provides a maximum of 600 Mbit/sec combined throughput, and features 2x2 MIMO, beamforming, and multi-radio mesh. The high-capacity Meraki MR72 is a three-radio Wi-Fi AP that supports data rates of up to 1.2 Gbps with concurrent 802.11ac and 802.11n 2x2:2 MIMO radios. An additional third radio is dedicated to WIDS/WIPS security and automated RF optimization. The MR72 access point also includes a Bluetooth radio for Beaconing and BLE scanning. The ultra-fast Meraki MR84 is a 4-radio outdoor access point engineered to handle difficult, high-density RF environments like a sports stadium or other outdoor site. The MR84 features 4×4:4 MU-MIMO technology, 160 MHz channels, a GbE interface plus a Multigigabit interface, and an integrated Bluetooth radio.
