Activities
  • Maintain and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Work on premises and online to analyze and fix urgent and ongoing problems associated with reliability, protection, capacity, connectivity, and general productivity
  • Install, setup and debug apps hosted on Windows Servers
  • Install, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan information technology topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
  • Plan and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
  • Design and validate protection policies including onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Robust system design and 24x7 server monitoring

Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine provisioning, problem identification and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting experience
  • Ability to debug application issues including workstation program compatibility problems, server problems, data service issues, and connectivity issues
  • Experience in business application support (Microsoft product family)
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and mobile connectivity tools
  • Operates without supervision and shows strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • Has a working knowledge of network layers L1-L7 and strong troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
