Main Activities

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
  • Operate onsite and online to identify and resolve urgent and lingering issues associated with availability, security, capacity, connectivity, and overall functionality
  • Deploy, setup and troubleshoot apps on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Deploy, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT architectures including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
  • Plan and carry out updates to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Design and test security policies such as on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
  • Efficient system architecture and 24x7 server monitoring and alerting

Experience/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' background in PC, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem identification and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot application problems including workstation software compatibility problems, server problems, data service problems, and connectivity problems
  • Experience in business productivity application support (Microsoft product family)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, providing reliable follow-up and utilizing online access and mobile connectivity technology
  • Operates independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
  • Possess a working knowledge of network layers 1 through 7 and strong debugging capabilities in L1-L4

Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
