Essential Activities

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Work on premises and online to identify and fix both urgent and ongoing issues related to reliability, security, capacity, connectivity, and overall functionality
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot applications on Windows Servers
  • Deploy, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan information technology architectures including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
  • Design and implement upgrades to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Develop and validate protection policies such as onsite high availability, resilience, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
  • Efficient system architecture and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting

Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' background in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to troubleshoot application issues such as desktop PC software compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access issues
  • Experience in business software assistance (Microsoft product family)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering reliable follow-up and using remote access and wireless communication tools
  • Operates independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
  • Has a reasonable understanding of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent debugging skills in L1-L4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
