Primary Activities
Activities

• Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
• Operate onsite and online to identify and fix both urgent and lingering problems associated with reliability, protection, capacity, connectivity, and general functionality
• Install, configure and troubleshoot applications hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
• Install and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
• Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
• Plan IT architectures including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
• Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
• Plan and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
• Develop and test security policies such as on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and AV as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
• Robust network architecture and 24x7 server monitoring and alerting

• 10+ years experience in PC, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine provisioning, problem isolation and resolution)
• 5+ years consulting experience
• Ability to debug application issues such as desktop PC program compatibility problems, server problems, data service problems, and connectivity problems
• Experience in business productivity application support (Microsoft product family)
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and utilizing online access and wireless connectivity tools
• Works independently and demonstrates high level of responsibility and initiative
• Possess a reasonable understanding of network layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging skills in layers 1 through 4
