Essential Activities
Activities

• Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
• Work on premises and online to analyze and resolve both urgent and ongoing problems associated with availability, protection, performance, connectivity, and overall productivity
• Install, setup and troubleshoot apps hosted on Windows Servers
• Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
• Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
• Design IT architectures including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
• Support and manage MS Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
• Design and carry out updates to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
• Design and validate security policies such as onsite high availability, resilience, backups and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
• Efficient system architecture and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting

• 10+ years experience in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device setup, problem identification and repair)
• 5+ years consulting background
• Ability to troubleshoot application problems such as workstation program compatibility problems, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity problems
• Background in business productivity application support (Microsoft product family)
• Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-up and using online access and wireless communication tools
• Works without supervision and shows high level of ownership and drive
• Has a reasonable understanding of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging skills in layers 1 through 4
