Primary Activities
Activities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
• Work onsite and online to identify and fix both urgent and lingering problems related to reliability, security, capacity, connectivity, and general functionality
• Install, configure and troubleshoot applications hosted on Windows Servers
• Install and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
• Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
• Design information technology architectures including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud models
• Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
• Plan and implement upgrades to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange
• Develop and validate security policies including onsite high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
• Efficient system architecture and proactive health monitoring

• 10+ years experience in desktop, server management and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
• 5+ years consulting background
• Ability to debug application issues such as workstation program compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access problems
• Background in business productivity application support (Microsoft product family)
• Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-through and using remote access and mobile connectivity technology
• Works independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
• Has a working understanding of network layers L1-L7 and strong troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
