Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Operate onsite and online to identify and fix both urgent and ongoing issues related to reliability, protection, capacity, accessibility, and overall functionality
  • Deploy, configure and troubleshoot applications hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Deploy, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT architectures including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and administer MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
  • Design and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange
  • Design and validate protection policies such as onsite high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Efficient system design and proactive server monitoring

Experience/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem identification and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot application problems including desktop PC program compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity issues
  • Background in business productivity application support (Microsoft products)
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and mobile communication tools
  • Works without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Possess a reasonable knowledge of network layers 1 through 7 and strong troubleshooting skills in L1-L4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
