Essential Activities

Responsibilities
  • Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
  • Operate onsite and online to identify and resolve both urgent and lingering problems associated with reliability, protection, capacity, connectivity, and general functionality
  • Deploy, configure and debug applications hosted on Windows Servers
  • Install, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Design information technology topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud models
  • Support and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet connectivity
  • Design and implement updates to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Develop and test security policies including onsite high availability, resilience, backup/restore and AV as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Efficient system design and proactive health monitoring

Experience/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in desktop, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to debug application issues such as workstation program compatibility problems, server problems, data service issues, and access issues
  • Experience in business software assistance (Microsoft products)
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a virtual office setting, providing reliable follow-through and utilizing remote access and wireless communication technology
  • Operates independently and shows high level of ownership and initiative
  • Has a working understanding of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging capabilities in layers 1 through 4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
