Essential Activities

Responsibilities
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
  • Work on premises and online to analyze and resolve urgent and ongoing problems associated with availability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall functionality
  • Deploy, configure and troubleshoot apps hosted on Windows Servers
  • Deploy, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan information technology architectures including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
  • Design and implement updates to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server
  • Develop and validate security policies including onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
  • Robust network architecture and proactive health monitoring

Schooling

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' background in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine setup, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application issues including workstation program compatibility problems, server issues, data service issues, and connectivity issues
  • Background in business software support (Microsoft product family)
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-through and utilizing remote access and mobile communication tools
  • Works independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and initiative
  • Possess a reasonable understanding of network layers L1-L7 and strong debugging skills in L1-L4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
