Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
  • Work onsite and remotely to identify and resolve urgent and lingering issues related to reliability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall productivity
  • Install, setup and debug apps hosted on Windows Servers
  • Deploy, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and manage MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
  • Plan and implement updates to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server
  • Develop and test protection policies including onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backups and AV as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Robust network design and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting

Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' background in PC, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine setup, problem identification and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot application issues such as workstation program compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and access problems
  • Background in business application assistance (Microsoft products)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and taking advantage online access and mobile connectivity tools
  • Works independently and shows strong sense of responsibility and drive
  • Possess a reasonable knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting skills in layers 1 through 4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
