Primary Responsibilities

Activities
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
  • Work onsite and online to analyze and fix urgent and ongoing problems associated with reliability, protection, capacity, connectivity, and overall functionality
  • Deploy, setup and troubleshoot apps on Windows Servers
  • Install, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan information technology topologies including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, Microsoft Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet connectivity
  • Plan and implement upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server
  • Design and test protection policies such as on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
  • Robust system design and proactive health monitoring

Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine setup, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application problems including desktop PC program compatibility problems, server problems, data service problems, and connectivity problems
  • Background in business productivity application assistance (Microsoft product family)
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, providing consistent follow-up and utilizing online access and mobile connectivity tools
  • Operates without supervision and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
  • Has a reasonable knowledge of network layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting skills in L1-L4

Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
