Primary Activities

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Operate on premises and remotely to analyze and resolve urgent and ongoing problems associated with reliability, protection, capacity, accessibility, and general functionality
  • Install, configure and debug apps hosted on Windows Servers
  • Deploy, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Design IT topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
  • Maintain and manage MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
  • Plan and carry out updates to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Develop and test protection policies including onsite high availability, resilience, backups and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
  • Robust network design and proactive health monitoring

Education

Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application problems such as desktop PC software compatibility problems, server problems, data service issues, and access problems
  • Experience in business application assistance (Microsoft products)
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and taking advantage online access and wireless communication tools
  • Operates without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of responsibility and drive
  • Possess a working knowledge of network layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting skills in L1-L4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
